Thankyou for all the kind words back in USA now and customs went fine. I had a very nice officer and had no troubles at all. So glad to be back home with my fiance and our marriage is Saturday and am all organised now. Got home in time and could not be happier. Good luck to all on your arrival here and your upcoming weddings.
For those concerned about coming through customs with envelope its ok officer opened it up checked certain pages out and stamped the ones he needed and stamped visa. Reminded me of marrying in 90 days and wished me all the best.
Enjoy your new life here it is wonderful well mine is lol

                Hi Barbara,

I've noticed that you are from Australia?
Can you please provide timeline or any tips for me?
We are still going to start with the process, and we're not quite sure yet if we're getting help from visa services or immig lawyers, or if we can do it ourselves?
My fiancee and I used to live together here in Sydney for almost a year, and he's the US citizen (I'm a permanent resident in Aus) and he went back to US for work...we just miss & love each other, and we plan to get married so that I could move to US with him...Is K-1 visa the most efficient way?

                Thanks! and congratulations!

Yes I would have to agree K1 is the way to go. It took some time I will admit but it went soon enough and after all the tears and heartache I am here and married and getting on with our lives so yes.
                  Here is my time line
Applied 129F Petition Vermont Office sent 22/2/2-10
                  First NOA 9/3/2010
                  RFE 12/6/2010
                  RFE Reply 16/6/2010
                  NOA 2 22/6/2010
                  Left NVC week later
                  Arrived Sydney consulate 15/7/2010
                  Packet 3 received 22/7/2010
Packet 3 sent 23/7/2010 as I had all this done before hand by looking it up myself on Consulate page saves so much time.
Packet 4 received 27/7/2010 date for interview and what to bring extra
                  Interview 17/8/2010
I was put on hold as they were missing one of my now husband's divorce decrees so we had to scurry around and send them through express mail from here in US but they sat on it for a week. I emailed them on the Monday 30th August and had the visa on the Wednesday 1/9/2010
                  Arrived USA 4/9/2010/
129F was approved in 105 days from my NOA 1
                  Interview took 161 days.
When you get packet 3 and after you have sent in all our paperwork and documents they say it will be up to 4 weeks for an interview. I got mine in exactly the 4 week time slot.

I hope this helps Sydney is pretty good and 129 seems to run smoothly and then the visa process at Sydney is all good and goes well too.
Cost of visa is $420 plus you will have costs of medical 200+ xray and blood tests + police report $185.
So as I was able to afford it I would suggest this and then you can come over marry and stay. No hassles.
Got my SS number today as well all done in a week.
Doing AOS this week and next just waiting for tax returns and so on.
                  Good luck

Oh we did it ourselves you don't need lawyers ok its straight forward
