  • Im Pregnant and I need advice. Thanks!

    Good Day, Everyone!

Im just wondering if someone from here can give me a good advice. Im just confused and depressed.

My US citizen boyfriend was here (Philippines) last September 2010. He proposed to me and said yes to him and he offered me a fiance visa to be with him soon and get married. Late September i just found out that im pregnant. And I told him and he was happy about the news. Now my problem is, If he filed for fiance visa for me... Will it be ok if he'll inforn the USCIS that im pregnant or not? If not, if we get approved i know that i need to go under medical examination and they will found out im pregnant and what about the required vaccinations for immigrant like me? What is the best thing to do? Is this pregnancy will affect the petition and it will coz delay? Im just curious and confused Maybe can someone here will help me and find answer. What is the best way and fastest way to be with my boyfriend? I dont wanna be alone with this kind of situation.

Oppsss!!! I know if you read this you'll probably confused why its so quick for me to get pregnant. Well, when he arrived in my country is exactly the week of my ovulation period. So he hit the jackpot...

Please I need advice. Thank you and may God bless everyone!!!

My understanding is that you continue with the process to get the K1 visa. At the interview in Manila they will arrange to give the baby a separate visa if it is born before you leave for the United States. Obviously, the best thing is to accomplish everything quickly so the baby will be born in the United States. For the interview you will need a letter from your fiance saying that he is still willing to marry you, in case the baby is not his. I do not know what exactly must be said in the letter.

There is no problem with being a pregnant fiance. The baby, if born before you leave, gets an American passport by filing papers with the embassy because he is the child of a US citizen born abroad. Or he may be given a paper showing he is a US citizen--the FS240 document. Ummm...maybe that's only if you marry first. I think there is a little more paperwork if the parents are not married---like the father has to do an affidavit that the child is his child. So married or unmarried, the child can get immediate US citizenship.
