I-129F Questions,

Hi There everyone
I am new to this site. I just wanted to share my case and was wondering if I could get some feed back from anyone. Well, I am a US citizen. My fiance is from Thailand(Currently living there). We filed I-129F to the VT office. They had sent me a notice saying that they have received it on July 29th, 2010. I do know this will take some time, But was wondering about how much time? Would it be more than a year, or would it be around 5-6 months to have her here with me. If it would take soo long to come here than I would want to go visit her again soon. Being almost a year since I have seen her,... So again, just curious on how long(around) it will be for us to be together. Maybe if anyone has gone through the same could let me know about how you experienced it, or anyone thoughts about this. Thank you all, and God Bless.

The petitions I have seen most recently approved by VSC have a notice from the first week in July, so not too much longer. California is working on June now.

After your petition is approved, the it has to go to the embassy in Thailand. Your finance will wait for them to acknowledge receipt of the file. Then she has applications to file and documents to gather and have translated. And she has to wait for them to schedule an interview. Now is the time to learn and prepare the next steps so she is ready. You should be ordering your 2007-2009 tax transcripts from the IRS right now. You've got an affidavit of support to fill out, sign, and physically mail to Thailand. See the VISA tab in the menu bar if you don't know the steps.

seem to be running a little slow right now Id say maybe 9 months for the whole thing there is several things your fiancee will need for the interview Id start getting those documents togeather as it might require some travel on her part. good luck
