K-1 visa approved, late filing next step I-485

My fiance entered the US 09/19/17 on a K-1 visa. We married on 10/20/17. ( within the 90 days required) I was low on funds and just today was ready to pay the 1,200 to file the I-485. I think I made a huge mistake!! It states that I was to file within 90 days of the marriage. Will they accept my application?

If the AOS process takes 6 months does that exceed the amount of time she has on her K-1 visa. Is she over staying the original time limit given?

I saw a spam post with almost the same content a few weeks back.

Anyway, I-485 can be filed at any time no matter how many years they have stayed past their I-94 expiration date.
