MNL Case #
I recevied the first notification from USCIS that the I-129F was approved on Novmeber 1st. I then received a letter from NVC on 11/10/10 which says:
"The States Department's National Visa Center has recently reviewed an approved I-129f petition filed on behlf of your fiance. This letter is to let you know that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriatevisa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place."
"Your fiance will soon reveive a packet with instrucitons from the consular section on how to apply for the K1 visa at that post and what documents will be required."
This letter included the MNL case number. Once we got the mMNL case number we wanted to call the US Embassy in Manila to schedule the interview. But we have a few friends that have completed this process already and they informed us to wait for the packet because the US Embassy will not make the interview until the beneficiary has completed the medical exam, and to comeplte the medical exam you have to have the letter that is in the packet. St. Lukes will not complete the medical exam unless you have the letter for the US Embassy Manila.
It has now been over one month since we received approval from USCIS and the beneficiary fiance has not received the package. I am currently in Manila with my fiance and was hopin gto attend the interview, but I return home on Dec 19th. Hopefully I will return in Jan-March so he will wait to have his interview until Jan.
We were originally hoping for January also but if I return for work in Manila, we are no longer in a rush. Hope everything works out for you and that it is completed in a timely manner.
