  • Can I save some Money if I wait?

    Hi

First of all you guys are great and Thanks for all the help so far

I am getting ready to send the i-129F And saw a post that The price would be lower in a few weeks.

May I be so bold as to ask why or Did i read the post wrong. I am waiting for the G325A from my Girl in China and Then I am ready to send it off. I have everthing ready that I can think of and want to thank you all for the great Information, there are a few things that I was not to sure about like the g325A there are post that say include 4 which I do not know why, I have read many post and instrutions with the forms I even had them sent to me to see if there was any diffrence and the only thing I notice was where to send it, which was to Vermont and the forms on line said to send to lock box in Texas, With 455.00 USD I am sure that I will send it to Texas with the 455.00 as I had planed in the first place.
    Thanks Len

The fee for the I-129F until November 22 is $455.
If postmarked on November 23 or later, the fee is $340.

USCIS reviews fees every two years and they say the new fee structure reflects the cost to provide the service. Most applications will cost more on Nov 23. For example the I-130 for a spouse will be $420, up from $355.

On the G-325A, in 20008 when I downloaded the form to fill in, it had four identical pages. Typing on page 1, put identical information on page 2-4. When you printed, it produced four pages which the applicant was to sign. It was like old fashioned carbon copies and if you looked at some small print, each copy was designated for a different place or use. That's where the four copies information comes from. They no longer use that older version, so the single copy is correct.

Mailing location: That changed within the last year. All I-129Fs now go to a lockbox facility in Texas where the application will be checked for accuracy/completeness and the fees deposited. Then your application will go to Vermont or California service centers for the processing.

Just a tip--send the right fee (depending on the postmark date) made out to the correct name U.S. Department of Homeland Security or they will reject the application and send it all back to you to write a new check.

But your few extra bucks will be taken back with the increased fees for Adjustment of Status, biometrics, etc. hahahaha

Actually you're hitting it at a good time. People who recently filed at the $455 fee will incur the higher AOS fees too.

My husband is eligible to file for his 10 year green card (Removal of Conditions) on Dec. 23, which sadly also has higher fees starting Nov 23. For that one you can't send it but 90 days prior to the expiration of the 2 yr. conditional card. Even one day early like 91 days, they send it back. So it will be $590, up from $545.
