  • US Citizen - need help filing for K1 visa form for Fiancée.

    Hi,

I am a recent US citizen through naturalization and I have couple of quick questions before filling out forms for my Fiancé (K1) –

    1. ON form G325A Biographic form - Do I need to write my previously held green card’s alien registration number? I am confused as per my understanding Alien registration number is basically used to identify a person holding a permanent resident (Green Card Holder). If K1 is filed by the US Citizen only then why they are asking for the Alien registration number ?
    2. On Form I 129F – The instructions says, “ PROVIDE ORIGIANL STATEMENT FROM YOU AND YOUR FIANCE WHOM YOU PLAN TO MARRY WITHIN 90 DAYS OF HIS/HER ADMISSION AND COPIES OF ANY EVIDENCE YOU WISH TO SUBMIT TO ESTABLISH YOUR MUTUAL INTENT” ….now I have the proof of our relationship, I am confused about the statement and evidence required to prove the mutual intent…can someone shade some light on it ?

Thanks in advance…I will appreciate your help.

That biographic form is used for many visa applications, as well as adjustment of status. Your fiance will complete one too for the K1 petition I-129F. Later for AOS, she will do a new one, by which time she will have an A-number. So if you have an A-number, you fill it in. If not, write NONE.

Your mutual intent is shown in letters from EACH of you, signed in ink. So no email version from your fiance. She will sign it and send to you via postal mail.

Thank you for your response Nicole....it makes perfect sense...though fact about the signature in ink is a baumer...I was thinking of getting the e-mailed version and now have to wait another 3-4 days for the actual letter in mail...thanks for saving me from the trouble...

Don't forget she needs to print and sign her G325A also. And do you have a 2"x2" passport photo of her to include with that?

Waiting a few days isn't a bummer. It will save you $105. Read this thread http://immihelp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82626

Yes...I do have the photo...as a matter of fact I have all the required docuements ( minus her signature in ink )..for some reason I just thought that she would sign ,scan and send the docs to me via e-mail and that would work..but offcourse USCIS has its own way of functioning...but thank you again for reminding...this forum and senior memebers like you has been a great help..
