Each consulate has their own way of doing things. What is expected at one may not be common practice at another. Name the consulate and you might get someone with experience there to give you an answer that's more accurate. Example: I know London. BarbaraJL knows Sydney, etc.

        Sustained Income

A letter from an employer showing your base salary. I usually make 30% more than my base salary but the employer cannot list that extra income.

          Proof of Income

Me and my fiance just finished our process in Manila, Philippines and were approved!

          For my income I provided:
          I-134
2 most recent pay check stubs
          2 most recent bank statements
          2 most recent w2 (2009 & 2010)
Most recent 1040 tax form (2009 as I have not filed 2010 yet)
Letter from employer listing base salary, position, part/fulltime and my tenure.

That will be enough to prove income. For the k1 visa it is the I-134 and the income should be 100% above the poverty level depending on # in household.
          1 $10,830
          2 $14,570
          3 $18,310
          4 $22,050
          5 $25,790
          6 $29,530
          7 $33,270
          8 $37,010

          Hope this helps!

          Lauren
