  • Fiancé visa question

Hello! How are you all? My partner and I are having trouble with our Fiancé visa application. We’ve been together for over 2 years and have met in person but we’ve never really lived together since we’re long distance. When we reach the documentation part of the application it asks for proof that we’ve been living together in the same address for more than two years. We’re very confused, are we in the wrong application? We can only find one link and we don’t know what we’re doing wrong about ****hub We’re wanting to go for the fiancé visa that lasts 6 months, with the intention to stay in the UK. Thank you in advance!

Hello! I understand that you and your partner are facing some challenges with your Fiancé visa application. Let's clarify a few things to ensure you're on the right track.

Based on your description, it seems like you might be looking at the wrong application form or misunderstanding the requirements. The documentation asking for proof of living together for more than two years typically applies to partner or spouse visa applications, rather than the Fiancé visa.

The Fiancé visa is designed for couples who plan to get married in the UK and then transition to a spouse visa. It grants a six-month stay in the UK, during which you're expected to get married. After the wedding, you can apply for a spouse visa to continue living in the UK.

To proceed with the Fiancé visa application, you'll need to provide evidence of your genuine relationship, your intention to marry within the six-month period, and your ability to financially support yourselves without recourse to public funds. This includes documents like engagement or wedding plans, correspondence, financial statements, and other relevant proofs of your relationship.

To ensure you're on the right track, I recommend visiting the official government website for UK visa applications. There, you'll find detailed guidance and the correct application form for the Fiancé visa. If you're still unsure, consider consulting an immigration lawyer or seeking advice from a reputable immigration service to help you navigate the process more effectively.

Remember, it's crucial to submit accurate and complete documentation to increase your chances of a successful application. Good luck, and I hope your Fiancé visa application progresses smoothly!

Hello! It sounds like you might be applying for the wrong type of visa. The fiancé visa is typically for those who plan to get married in the UK and then apply for a spouse visa to stay together. If you're intending to stay in the UK without getting married immediately, you should consider a different visa category, such as a visitor visa or a partner visa.

For more accurate guidance, I recommend contacting the UK Visa and Immigration service or seeking advice from an immigration lawyer. They can provide you with the most up-to-date and specific information for your situation. capybara clicker Good luck with your visa application!
