what are people actually experiencing for wait times for their interviews once the initial petition is approved? will they tell us when our interview is? thank you!

Concerning how long it takes, that depends. Our application skipped the NVC entirely and went straight to the Manila embassy. It was only a couple of weeks later that the embassy sent me a letter saying it was okay to call for an interview appointment.

Wait Times
This situation will be for Manila, Philippines. All cases may be different.
The initial petition for us was approved on Nov 1, 2010. My fiance received the instruction packet from the US Embassy on Dec 8, 2010. He was able to schedule his interview (after he paid the fee at BPI). His interview will be on 01/19/2011. He was offered to have the interview on Jan 3-7 but he wanted to wait until I am back in the Philippines on Jan 12 or 13th.
