  • i134 question 11 what to add for Fiance Visa?

    Hi,

I received the I129 f receipt on July 22 and still haven't heard from USCIS about the decision (application in initial review stage). The vermont center processing time is 5 months which will be over on Dec 22. Is this normal? I have read on other posts that most people get a response from USCIS in 4 months. Fiance is a british citizen.

Also, I am working on the i134 form and need help with answering question 11 regardingthe intent to support. Should I leave it blank or put something that will tell USCIS that my fiancee will be staying with me and I will be supporting him after the marriage till he gets a job? Pleae let me know.
    Thanks,

We went through London and ticked neither box and wrote
    N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence )

There were no problems. I think the intention of that is for other visas where people are sponsoring and are going to provide specific amounts....like an allowance, or place to live. You're not going to give your fiance a "specific" allowance. He's going to be your husband. But----

A guy named Graham in 2008 had a lady question it and say it should say "intend". Now London "lore" says London prefers the "intend" box ticked. It's just "lore" passed down because of one lady who didn't seem to be familiar in the way most people described the interviewers there. Maybe she was new or a sub. But it won't hurt anyting to do it that way. Just say "I will provide for the total support for him as my husband" or something of that nature if you want.

The dates or 5 month thing is always approximate and always fluctuating. I've seen long lists from people reporting their progress, separated by date filed and in the July group (125+ reporting) there's more waiting than have been approved so that indicates they are working on July but don't seem even halfway through July yet, not that they really go in order, but they sorta do. And with you being in the last part of the month and all. But there are cases reported approved 2 months ago, so who knows. Just saying if you count 125 July filers as a good sampling, then only about 1/3 have been approved.

      Thanks,
ours was processed thru ca. it took 4 months but then sat at the visa center for 3 months then at the american embassy in sri lanka for the last 2 months and waiting...no one told me i was going to have to wait past the uscis time i thought it was complete after that,,, dang it. call them and call them often. when it was at the visa center they made a mistake, if i hadnt been calling every other day and asking questions it would have been an extra 2 months oh btw i filed both the i130 and i129.
