Hellow guys, I am sajib from bangladesh. My wife is an US citizen and she is the petitioner for my immigrant visa. My interview was on 20th december and after interview the visa officer kept my passport and gave me a 10 questionnaire page and told me to return them so that they can do some additional processing. She told me that they will call me after the additional processing is done. On 21st of december I gave them the page answering all the 10 questionnaire. I asked them when can I receive an update from them but they refuse to give me any exact date. So, does anyone knows , how much time does it take for this additional processing?

the interview is such an important date, and to be denied is very disapointing. they give no time, they dont/wont communicate with you. my husband was denied, they needed more proof of relationship. this is sri lanka, his appt was nov 16th.. we submitted all the papers after 1 week, nov 23, they said give them 2-3 weeks and they would call him. 3 1/2 weeks go by , no call, i called them they said we will call in 2 days, 6 days go by, no call, finally my husband calls on the 28th and they said come pick up you visa its ready?!! he got the packet, the date on it shows dec 22. so.... they do what they want when they want. be diligent. call them perodically. good luck

Yeah, its been 3 weeks and I still haven't heard anything from the dhaka, US embassy. I guess I still have to wait more. Do u think communicating with them through email is a good idea?
