  • Co-Sponsor Philippines?

I have heard yes and no on this matter I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I can use a co-sponsor if we file in Philippines.

Anyways here is my story since I'm new here and no one knows me here.

I'm 32 from St. Louis, Missouri. Currently am not working although at times I do work side jobs just don't have full time work yet. In April I'll see my fiancee for the first time then we plan to process our K1.

My fiancee is 26 Filipina living in Amman Jordan on a work visa. She is originally from Philippines. I know a lot of people have told me that I can use a co-sponsor for Jordan. Which the plan is to have her just live here at my home with my family until I can get a job and her and I will then find a place of our own. Also she has been in Jordan for over a year so we planned on processing there. Anyways to cut things short she is tired of being in Jordan they treat her unfair there and a lot of the workers/ her friends are leaving to go home. She would really like to leave and go home to Philippines as well. It's been a long road for us both I'm hoping that she will just hold out in Jordan. However, if she goes home to Philippines can we still get a co-sponsor there? Please if you answer please back it up with a source. I have heard a lot of answers on this one. Thanks.

If you don't currently have a job, you will definitely need an American sponsor. You have to be able to prove that you can support your new wife, and without a job you cannot do that.

      Job

Your problem is a job. Get the job first. Don't worry about anything else but getting that job. The MOST STABLE industry in the United States has always been and will always be the trucking industry. Their are 10 jobs available for every driver. It is easy and pays plenty without any worries of being laid off. If you have a good driving record without felonies, you can start working within days if you like. Starting mileage pay will give you an income starting at $40,000 per year. Again, don't bother going through the maze of finding a co-sponsor. Do your self and that fiance of yours a favor; GET A JOB that is stable!! During my brief courtship with my K1 Filipina fiance, I suggested that she learn to drive trucks through one of the larger trucking companies and I would be her trainer. She thinks that is a fantastic idea. You must think out of the box in these tough economic times. My fiance has three kids who I am sponsoring also. I have seen many female truck drivers and they love what they do. The job stability is also a big plus. If you love her you will do whatever it takes to bring her here. Why go through the pain and begging routine to get a sponsor? If you don't love her, please ignore my advice.

The US government will be looking to see that you can support your future wife for 40 quarters (10 yrs) without dependence of the government. You need a JOB. Otherwise you need someone here that is willing to say they will provide her support for 10 years if you fail too. Good luck, but I think its best you get a full time permanent job.
