  • My K1 Visa Status (Petitioner)

    Meet my fiance online 08/27/2010
Visit my fiance in the San Ildefonso, Bulacan, Philippines 10/24 - 11/18/2010

    I mailed I129F to Dallas 12/27/2010
    Received by Dallas 01/02/2011
Dallas forwarded it to California 1/04/2011
California Service Center received it 1/07/2011

    This process is mind boggling
To all my fellow petitioners: Make sure you read the 129F instructions. This is your bible. Dissect this document WORD-BY-WORD!!!
You need letters of intent from both of you with original uncopied signatures. The answer to question 18 must be written in letter format on a separate sheet; signed and dated
Make sure you have all evidence, letters, emails, pictures, bank statements, boarding passes, phone bills
Important: Try to do all the paperwork during your visit, IF you have made the commitment. I know you like romance, but take 3-4 hours out of your vacation to get this done. Your fiance needs to sign and date some documents that you will send with the 129-F like the biographic data and the letters of intent. Then you only need to concentrate on maintaining the documentation trail for the continuing relationship.
I already submitted the 134 affidavit of support with employer letter, bank letter, no tax return yet
I use the document instructions. Some say they don't inform you of the requirements in the instructions but I don't do anything that I am not instructed to do.
They don't tell specifically about the Letter of Intent; use the example shown in this website.
If I were running USCIS I would put a checklist for the petitioner and the applicant; that is our clock-work-gov't at it's best

    Saudi Arabia police clearance:

My fiance spoke to the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh on 1/16/2011 and they stated that you can get a police clearance after you submit NBI fingerprints, employment certificate and copies of the entry and exit stamps in the philippine passport to the DFA (fingerprint authentication and OUMWA). Prior to going to the NBI get your fingerprint card from the DFA first. Expect to wait six months for the police clearance. They also stated that you can obtain a non-derogatory report without requirement of NBI fingerprints, also through DFA (OUMWA), which takes two months. My fiance will go to the embassy to clarify all of this.
My advice to all Filipinas working abroad; get a police clearance when you decide to return to the Philippines!!
