Hi there, I don't suppose anyone knows how long it takes to transfer an application do they? My visa was originally being processed whilst I was staying in Canada (even though I'm a british citizen) and then when it eventually got to the consulate in vancouver, we were told it had to be transferred to london. We confirmed they should transfer it, and i moved bacck to england so i could have interview etc. That was 3 weeks ago and when my fiance (who's an american citizen) rang the embassy in london on friday, he was told they have no record of us!

Does anyone know at all whether this amount of fannying about is normal?! We're starting to seriously worry it got lost in the post or something...

If anyone can, please soothe my fears. All this waiting is so crap.

    Thanks

I would suggest you get your fiance to ring DOS (dept of state) if you have a case number they will be able to let you know that's going on.Ok you have contacted NVC and confirmed they sent it on to London yes? I would keep ringing London till you get an answer as if you have your number then it has to be there or someone has just not bothered to find out. Keep calling and emailing but I have seen on another site London embassy is a bit slow . SO keep persevering.
