Hello. I am 27 years old and I had 3 epileptic seizures in my life. They happened when i was a kid twice and last year due to stress and fatigue, didn't get sleep for a week. I am interested if that could make me ineligible for a K1 visa my fiancee is applying for? I was off medication from when i was 15 till last year now i a on again. the medication is cheap and is available in the US i would be able to buy it myself when I am there. Any help is welcome. thanks.

thank you for your answer
Yes she has medical insurance but I only drink tegretol which costs 60$ per box and I need 1 box a month so i have proof I can buy it myself. On top of that my fiancee has a high income so even she would be able to buy it and prove it if they don't trust me. I was just wandering cuz here in europe there are plenty of restrictions for people that had even 1 seizure in their life. I cannot drive a car here for example and I've read that in Pennsylvania I would be able to if I prove my medications work. And like I said I had 3 seizures in my life and they were all in very stressful periods for me, and I was off meds in all cases.
Does anyone know how much of it would they let me bring through customs? I would hope at least one box.
I'm healthy otherwise, I never drink, don't smoke, never did drugs in my life, I play sports....... I'm just worried bout this thing, I hope you are right :-)
Anyway best wishes and thank you.Last edited by bokke; 03-06-2011, 08:39 AM.

It is by script but I only intended to bring like a box 2 boxes for a month or 2 months till I settle down and manage to buy them in the states. Its tegretol and they have them in the US and its FDA approved and all. I would have a statement from my physician in English or the prescription for it.
I was more worried if it will get me ineligible for a K1 visa.
