Please help! My son's K-1 petition was approved in November and NVC has passed it to London Embassy. His fiancee has not received the packet yet. How long does it take to receive the packet?

Please help! My son's K-1 petition was approved in November and NVC has passed it to London Embassy. His fiancee has not received the packet yet. How long does it take to receive the packet?

OMgoodness they should have received that weeks after he needs to ring USCIS London office and find out if his papers arrived or not. The packet info is sent by email.

The Dept of State can give you updates and they don't charge a per minute fee like the London Embassy (or $16.00 flat rate from the US). Anybody doing a K visa from the UK should start calling 2-3 weeks after NVC says they have sent the file. You don't have to wait on the packet from Londn if you find out from DOS that London has received and logged in the file. It's not a packet, but just a letter saying to get forms and instructions from the Embassy website.
