My American girlfriend and I (I am a UK citizen) are currently working and living in China and are planning to get engaged and, subsequently, married.
I am writing with a question about the police certificates I will need to provide for the visa interview. I have been living and working in Beijing for seven months now, but I previously worked in Guangzhou, south China for over six years. Previous to this, I worked in South Korea on a one-yer work visa, but had to leave after four months due to health reasons. I also worked in Bangalore for one year. On your website, it says that police certificates are only required if you have lived ina country for 12 months or more. Is this currently the case? I am asking because I have read different sources which have stated a time period of six months.
