While we wait for approval of the petition, what steps can my fiance in Ethiopia do to be prepared for the next steps? I've read other posts where others had to get medical documents and police records? any advice on this? or should we just wait till we get the approval? Thanks!!

You can start to research this now and look at the US embassy site in Ethiopia and that will tell you what is needed for after approval as each country is different. Police reports are needed from where the beneficiary lives and a medical is also needed from a medical doctor connected with USCIS in the home city of beneficiary. This can all be looked up on USCIS site by putting in zip codes or area where they live and will give a list of doctors to choose from.
