I am currently in the US with k-3 visa but it expired. I filed to extend it the k3 but sent the paperwork a couple of days before it was to expire. The receive date on the I-797 was 3 days after it expired. Will my petition be approved? I have proof that I sent it before it expired. Also would I be able to apply for my green card now or do I have to wait till I get my approval of the k3 extension (if that happens). Thank you for any info.
