Your Opinion is needed urgently for K1 visa

Hi, My fiance got his interview almost two months but his case is under Admin process. Consulate has his passport as well. Can any one suggest if he gets his passport n visits oversears till the admin process is done will it delay process of getting visa or not? Please advise.
Also let me know if any one knows the max AP time for K1 visa and is there any way to reduce this wait.??

He will not get his passport back till AP is finished more than likely. No one knows how long AP will take it all depends on your case and what they are investigating. Some take a few months some take years.

It's been almost 3 months since interview and I haven't heard anything. Us consulate doesn't even response to my email. I sent an official letter to US embassy as well as state department to look into my case but to this point no response.
Any Suggestions on what should I do next??

I have never, ever known anyone to get their AP expedited or even a reason for what they are investigating. It's normally security related so they don't tell. Maybe your name is exactly that of someone they are secretly investigating. They aren't going to tell you who they have on a watch list with your same name or maybe even your father's name.

You can't do anything but wait on AP. If you asked for your passport back, maybe they would respond to that. Did you call and ask, saying you needed to travel? They can notifly you when they are done with your AP so you can send the passport back to them when they are ready to put a visa in it.

What consulate are you dealing with?
