My fiance is scheduled to appear for her K1 visa interview in Chennai. She is very nervous that her visa was denied couple of years back to come here for a visit. Actually we met and started talking after that, but she is not sure if the officer is going to look at it as a negative point. I am an American Indian, and we were introduced to each other by our parents. Please respond if you have attended a K1 visa interview in India or at Chennai.

My fiance is also from India and he was also denied an F1 student visa twice.
I've done a lot of research on this and to the best of my knowledge, a previous visa denial should not interfere with the K1 because the visa was for an entirely different purpose, in your case, she was applying for a B2 visitor visa.
I wouldn't worry about and rely that to her as well. I'm sure you're well aware of how difficult it is these days for Indians to get tourist visas.
The immigration officer may ask your fiancee a question about it at her interview but I doubt it. Best of luck!
