A guy had an add on craigslist.

He needs a sponsor for his wife. I meet the criteria. He wants to give me money.

Is this illegal? I agree to support her according to the I-134 if anything should happen. Would the money just be considered him being a nice guy in this case?

No way sponsoring is usually done by family members of close friends. Don't go and co sponsor for any one you don't know. You have no idea how it will end up . OMG stay away from that.
