  • HELP!! Advace parole for my wedding

    Hi,
I came here on a K1 visa last August 23/2011. My husband and I got married in August 29, and we submitted the I-131, I-765, and I-485 the first week of September. On September 16, we received the I-797C, Notice of Action for each of our three forms.
Thinking that my advance parole would arrive on time, my husband and I planned our Catholic wedding in my country for next January 5/2012 (we sent the invitations!). I am very stress out that I will not get my advance by the time I have to travel to my country. In addition, we have a lot of guests that are traveling to our wedding from Europe and USA and they already bought their tickets. We did it too, plus we have paid a lot of money, such as the hotel room, food, band, etc.
I have been reading the USCIS website, and it seems you get your biometric appointment letter within the next 30 days of receiving your I-797C. I have not received anything from them besides my I-797c, and it has been 2 months since then.
I requested an infopass for next Monday, and I would like to know if I can get my advance parole at the USCIS local office.
    Thanks,
    Ceci

Nope you will have to wait and have bio done and then you will get AP after that and EAD card it is usually another 2 months . As it is already November 11 and your info pass is Monday 14th mmm don't like your chances at all. Jan 5th will be cutting it fine if anything I would say you would be able to leave on that day but not be there by then. Really not a good idea to plan anything like this till you have card in hand sorry.
