  • Marriage date set, Visa incomplete help

So, it is becoming increasingly possible that the I-129F fiancee visa will not come through by the time of our wedding (March 31st). She is permitted to enter the country on tourist visa though right now (from Trinidad).

In order to avoid losing a ton of money on wedding down payments/etc is it legal/possible to have the ceremony, not make it official via signing the marriage certificate, and her go back to Trinidad. Then have her come back once its complete, do a civil ceremony say at a courthouse or something?

I was told by someone its possible that since the K-1 Visa is in process under her name, she may not be able to enter the country as a tourist. I don't think it would be considered fraud, since we aren't going to make it official on that date, we just want to have our celebration/ceremony with our friends/family.
