What happens after Wedding

My fiance and I are in the Process of getting the K1 Visa, I'm waiting for approval. My question is, does her change of status need to be filed before the 90 day period after entering the states is up? or is she legally allowed to stay here until she gets her status changed as long as we wed before the 90 days.that sounds confusing haha.

The most important point is to marry within 90 days. Otherwise she won't be eligible for AOS. It appears that the regulations about when to file are a bit diffuse. The safest option is to file within the 90 days as well, but it's possible that ou can wait longer. The AOS process will probably exceed the 90 days so she won't get a green card before the 90 days are up anyway. But as long as you file for AOS, her status is protected and she's allowed to stay in the US until the USCIS has made a decision.
