After marrying with K1, can I leave US without any problems?

Hello dear friends, I need as much good advice on this as possible. I know that once I get married in US with a K1 visa, I have to apply for AOS immediately. But while this is being processed, if I had to travel out of US for an emergency, what do I have to do to ensure that I can come back without any problems. What is AP? If AP would allow me to travel while AOS is being processed, how long does it usually take to get AP? I need your ideas and thought on this please. Thank you.

An Advance Parole Document is used to keep your AOS application “alive” while you are outside the US. If you don’t have an AP but leave the country, your AOS application will be considered abandoned. File form I-131 to obtain an AP. The processing time seems to be around three months. You can file it along with your I-485 if you know that you want to travel while the AOS application is being processed.
