  • USCIS have lost all I-192F documentation for a K-1 fiancee visa application

The relevant service centre of the USCIS have lost all I-192F documentation regarding a K-1 fiancee visa application submitted in April even though signed for on delivery to the service center. They have not been helpful and have said either delay the wedding or marry in the U.K. The wedding is planned to happen in the US in August as they have spent a lot of money in preparations.

There now appears no hope of obtaining visa before this date. What are the implications of the married taking place as planned with my son entering the US via the Visa Waive Scheme that is applicable to UK nationals and marrying his fiance regardless?

What might the USCIS do once they have been informed of this marriage to a US citizen even though it is them that has fouled up?

He wishes to remain and work in the US once necessary work visa has been granted.
