Bad luck with Visas !!
In mid March 2012 my Texan Fiance applied for a Fiance visa for me. After 4 months of not hearing anything from USCIS we called to see what was the hold up. Unfortunately they had never received the petition in the first place. We were told that we would have to re-apply but that we were looking at a 12 month wait for the visa. So not only were our wedding plans now put on hold but we had no visa and had lost the fee money for it also. We had waited over 2 years to be together and then this happened.
We spoke to a very nice girl that also gave us some other options such as obtaining a Spouse Visa instead. So on the 5th of September this year we married in the courthouse in Texas as we need our marraige license to be eligible to apply for the Spouse visa I-130 . A day later i called USCIS for more info on what forms to fill out etc and we were given different information to what we were previously given. I have since called numerous times and had no luck with anyone else and each time i call i am given different information on what forms to fill in and send an what supporting documents MUST be sent also. I have trawled through websites and USCIS documents etc and am so fed up that we still have not yet applied for this Visa. I had to leave my new Husband 2 days after we got married and find the situation very upsetting. Can anybody advise me or push us in the right direction.
