H1 expiring soon & Need to travel US

Hi Team,

My H1B visa stamping got delayed because of Admin processing at USCS.

I am already having petition with dates from 15-Nov-2011 to 14-Nov-2012 . But, recently, My visa got stamped only for period, 15-Sept-2012 to 14-Nov-2012

I am planing to travel US on 20th Oct along with familly. My company is going to file extension for H1B as soon as I reach to USA.

I need to know whether there will be any issue at port of entry with visa which is getting expired in 20/25 days?
Will it be safe to travel travel US or I need to present some sort of documentations?

Please help to clarify my queries.. Your answer will become very useful for me/
