Passport delivery under new stamping system

Booked my tickets months ago for my nov. travel to India. Recently discovered about new system of 2 appointments. My OFC is Nov. 18 and face to face is on 19, my return ticket is nov 23. I was unable to book earlier dates for interview because OFC was not available. looks like new system is more complicated. I was wondering if any one can give me ideas on when I should be able to collect my passport under this new system considering I have only 3 business days between appointment and return flight ? Pretty sure someone must have undergone stamping under new system, please share your experience
Tried calling customer service, was an hour wait over phone. They said it takes 7 days to get passport back(call center agent sounded like 19 yr old kid)
