I am working for Company A since 5 years. All of a sudden because of the company interest it is Split into Company A and Company B.
Note: Company A still remains the same company name A and a new taxID
Company B is assigned a new name but it holds the old taxID.
As per the company slit i am moved to Company B where my H1 B is on Company A which is still valid for 2 more years.
My company attorney says that as i work for Company B and it still holds the old taxID it doesn't matter and we don't need to file for the H1B transfer to company B..is that true.
I am a bit confused as in H1B says that the company name is Company A but i work for Company B(Same taxID when my H1B is filed).
