When can passport be picked up after system in the new system??

Hi,
I wanted to know how many days does it usually take for the passport to arrive at the pickup location in Mumbai after an interview in Mumbai?? in the old system we could collect the passport same day evening from Tirupati apartments - what is the procedure now?

i.e. what is the ideal number days buffer should one keep between the interview date and flight back to the US?
