H1B extension from India through other employer

Hi,
My first H1B petition was valid from 11/30/2005 to 10/01/2008
H1B Extension was valid from 10/01/2008 to 09/30/2011

I have only stayed for 3 years in USA during this span.

I left my first employer in 2009. Can my current employer (new one, other than one who filed my above H1B), still apply for extension of my H1B for the remaining 3 years which I havent útilized?
