H4 to H1 stamping
I have 2 questions. Would appreciate if someone could throw light on these Qs.
I was on a H4 visa and got a H1 last Oct. Didnt get my SSN until December so was on the payroll only since Dec 15. I have all the paystubs from December onwards except for Oct/Nov. I do not have W2 for 2004 as my income started only in Jan. Will this create a problem when I go for stamping?
From Aug I will be on unpaid maternity leave for 3 months (my employer is not covered under FMLA but they are ready to approve the leave) and then plan to go to India for a month. I will need to get my visa stamped in India but I will not have paystubs for those 4 months. Will that create a problem? Do I need to submit a letter from my employer stating i was on leave? will that suffice?
Has anybody been in a situation like this?
