What do they say when you call DOS ? Because usually they say when its 60 days call us back and we will escalate the case.

Mine will be 60 days soon and I am already frustated so I can imagine what you and other members of this forum are going through. I really wish I had a ***** stick that would fix all worries.

    Hope things will better.

    • 221 g - white slip

      Adding my case:

      IV:4th April 2013.

Passport retained. All docs returned. Issued 221 g white slip.Asked to submit complete CV,technical publications and a document explaining the practical implications of my work. The other thing to note here is that the option of admin check is not ticked. The VO just wrote "other" on the 221 g slip.Although my CEAC shows "administrative processing"

      Docs Submitted : 5th April 2013.
Full Time Employee for the past 6 years,Fortune 500 company.
      relatively common muslim name.
      Major:Chemical engineering
      Sector: Bio-Pharma.
2 previous H1-B stamping.(2008,2012).Received 221g in April 2012 in Ottawa.Regarding my 221g last year,I was not asked to submit any documentation and the white slip there just had admin processing ticked .This was Cleared in 42 days.

      its been 80 days ...

Can someone comment whether this is a Mantis or a Donkey SAO?I see a couple of folks here like Mirza,Mask728 waiting over 4 months! Can you guys comment on your last stamping?Where? If issued 221g?

      • mine is 66 days....
as I read on some other forums, no use of escalation
I think DOS won't escalate, ustraveldocs will escalate.
but they will take their own time.

my status updated date is still 11- June

          Hi,
My last H1B stamping was in Vancouver, Canada. No issues there..got passport with visa stamp in 2 days. my next I797 I did not travel. my 3rd I797 with my employer (working full time for 5+ years) and I came to Hyd for stamping. It has been 10 months now, still waiting on 221g.....

          good luck to you

Hang in there, yours is Bpharm, so maybe just a TAL and should clear without issues.

                Bro,
Dont expect too much from Call Operators. They are just answer your calls and read out status, they are not officers.

                Hope for the best.

Has anyone had their attorney use legalnet after the 90 day wait is over?

Yes. The reply from legalnet was something like "we know you want to bring this person back to US asap but let us do what we have to first"

They are playing with our emotions. They really dont care at all. How many times I look for the status update on their website every day... I am tired now.

Not sure, how Mirza and Mask and others are handling the situation.

Actually after some time you become numb to the entire situation. I am not expecting them to resolve all pending cases in the next couple of days but in the last few days I have found out about some human errors from their end. Maybe that is not COMPLETELY the reason why I am still stuck, but I am very sure that if they fix some of those mistakes at least the case will continue to move forward. I found out from DOS that my case is incorrectly listed under 214b instead of 221g. They mentioned that this mistake happened just a few weeks back. I have contacted the US consulate in HYD to fix this error 4 times in 2 days and they keep telling the same thing....case is pending under 221g etc etc.....just yesterday I called DOS to confirm if maybe the US consulate fixed the issue and just didnt want to admit their error, but nope....DOS said its still showing under 214b category/queue or whatever.....FYI as per VISA guidelines H1B's and their dependents are excluded from 214b!!

Have sent them another email today.....I have already gone crazy!!!

Does anyone have the US consulate Contact # WITH OPTIONS so I can maybe call and speak with a live person? I do not find any options that fit my case and never end up talking with someone...just get kicked back to the "main menu" and dialing "0" doesnt take you to a representative either.
