Expert Advise Needed for Fresh H1B @New Delhi

I know you asked for "expert" opinion but I will comment anyways....
It is highly unlikely that such a minor thing can result in the delay.

Can you tell me if it is more than 90 days or you meant less than 90 days ?

One time it was exactly 90 days & another time it was around 100 days. So in nutshell , its around 3 months

Hello Everyone,

Here is quick recap of my case:-

I have attended VI at Delhi on 06 Feb 2013 & got white slip for fresh h1B.My case is not updated for a single time till today. My VI was not so superb but it was so so.

Now, I noted a mistake in my DS-160 form. I have replaced last 2 digits of client address pin code (Like, 123 got replaced 132).Am I paying for this mistake since last 6 months. Can some expert person advise please?

If the client is not your employer then USCIS might not be interested in your client address. They need address of your employer, if they have to enquire about you they would ideally go to your employer and not your client location. If you are working as a consultant at client place, your client would not entertain USCIS coming asking them question because you are not their employee so its not their problem.

If the client is your employer, employer address is available on H1 Petition.

In either case, I don't think it is the cause for delay, like I said its only my assumption and I am no expert.

Thanks USER553 for your response. Its only these kind of responses that boost my hopes. But then I tend to set deadlines for my visa only to get disappoint.

Hello All,

My friend Asad waiting since Dec 7th got his status updated to Issued today.
Our veteran Mirza is seeing status update changed to Aug 6th..

Lets pray for Mirza's status to be changed to Issued soon. We will also pray for all.. In Sha Allah.

Here is what I suggest everyone to do:
1. If you are waiting for more than 60 days. Call US Travel docs and have them initiate the enquiry.
2. During your wait, keep calling DOS US Washington number at least twice a week and also call US travel docs India number twice a week.
3. If you are more than 6 months old, request both DOS and US travel docs to initiate an enquiry...

Both Mirza and Asad tried above steps last week and Inshallah some thing is happening.. If you get to talk to rude CSR from DOS, try multiple times and you will reach friendly ones who can open the enquiry on your case..

We are planning for another get together or 'Hope' building activity this SUnday in Hyderabad. Please let me know if anyone is interested. We will have evening snacks or something more.. My cell is nine five seven three two three six three five six. Thanks.

Alhamdulilah my status also changed to issued today... Summary is below

Interview Date : 26th April 2013
Visa Type : H1B
Consulate: N Delhi
First Status Date Change : 28th July
Second Status Date Change : 5th August
Third Status Date Change : 6th August (Issued)


This was my third 221 g (in 2006 & 2011) & i notice that every time it took around 90-100 days.. I work for a BEP company & tried all possible ways to communicate (email to VFS, Tel to DOS , EMail to consulate from BEP email id) , but nuthing worked. Based on my experiece nothing worked & no one can do anything . It will be resolved in its own time.. Even i got a reply from embassy yesterday that its still in AP. So it shows that unless status changes to website they will keep telling u that its in AP. So just chill out & pray to ALLAH ,
