How often does the case update date change?

Did anyone get white slip from hyd consulate recently ?

I have attended the interview on aug 18th 2013 , I am working for a start up and I am the first person to go to H1B stamping from my company.
So they asked me some questions about the company & gave me a white slip & told me that my company should E-Mail them the contracts with the customers .

They did not ask me for any other documents , they have returned my passport back to me.

My concerned manager mailed them the necessary documents on aug 21st, but we donot whether the documents are sufficient or not and whether they recieved it or not. The lady who interviewed me mentioned that They would 2-3 weeks after we email the documents to them

My case status was showing AP from day one but update date changed once on 24th august , 30th august & 4th september.

Should I just wait for response from consulate or should I email them ask them about my case status.

Please Advice.

DOS initiated another inquiry on my case

Hello Brothers,

Today I called DOS couple of times. First lady was rude to the core. The second one was old and kind.. I told her that I am waiting for past 6 months and requested to place an inquiry. Initially she was hesitant. I gave my sob story that kids are missing school and lots of problems I am having. She gave me a kind ear and then said 'Ok sir! I am putting a an inquiry on your case. Call us in 7 to 10 days'..

Praying that this should work for me this time as the passports are now with the consulate. Let me know what you think.. Ask me how to charm DOS visa specialists!

Wait for few more days.. This is employer verification and hence may take some time.. If you see regular updates, thats a good sign. Be positive and ask your employer to be very proactive in sending any documents, or in responding to emails and calls of the consulate. best of luck

My case was updated again today. Initially this would be exciting news for me but now there's nothing special about it. Multiple updates in the last couple of weeks but no luck yet......

Starting next week, I am going to try and stop obsessing about the date changes, calling DOS & Consulate etc......Just have to wait!!!

another status update today

Assalam alai kum brothers

Both MASK and myself have status dates changed today. Initially I was also happy about the date changes.. However, I spoke to my friend Ibrahim Khaleel who is waiting since Nov 2012 for h1b from Hyd consulate. In July he collected passports back and left to Dubai for some new job. On Aug 22nd he received email to submit passports just like me.. He has not submitted the passports yet.. However, he also has the same status updates like MASK and myself (Aug 23, 29 and Sep 3rd and 6th).. This makes me wonder if these are system updates...

Or the positive hope analogy could be that we all have reached to a point where the system is triggering alerts to Hyd consul to look into our cases. If all clearances received, it will change to ISSUED if not it goes back to Admin Processing with the status update changes.. to validate this analogy, it will help if Wt4visa and other Hyd brothers who are waiting and if they have any status updates.. Please post any status date changes please.. This will help us be hopeful and stay positive.

On a side note, RMKHAn any update?

My case was updated on August 22nd, 23rd, 27th, 30th and Sep 4th.

In my case first 3 dates are legit, other dates, not so sure. By now, I think we can conclude that on August 22nd a bunch of cases from Hyderabad ranging from 3 months to almost a year wait times got cleared for name check, from then it is back to again individual case, some got Issued, some of us are still going through additional processing. Instead of updating this dates I wish they just updated it once after completing processing

MASK, Munna, Ibrahim, Aasim, Kazim got same exact status updates on Aug 23, 29, Sep 3 and Sep 6th.. hoping that its good sign for all of us.

By looking at the variations, we can conclude that the dates are progressing and they are indeed result of some back end processing. Inshallah all these will result in visa issuances next week.

There is no update on my case. I hope our updates were not a system change only.Really, I am facing new thing everytime.Sometime ago I was thinking that if my case gose updated then with in a week I may receive my PPT. But now you bring the twist again.I do not have dare to face this but let us pray to Allah, he is the only one who can save us from all hurdles . Aameen.

What is the average wait time for hyd consulate?

I am new to this forum, I went through some posts and understood most of the people are waiting for more than 6 months! Is the average wait time more than six months for majority of the cases ?

And also is it the name check which causes lot of delay ? Any idea how long would a typical employer check take ?

At the time of interview they have not asked for my resume or any my documents they have also returned my passport back , they are only concerned if my employer is genuine as it is a small company. But I have been working there for more than a year now. I hope they would be able to provide all the necessary documents ..

My parents interview was on 25th july 2013 at new delhi for Immigrant visa. Consular give two letters. 1) To submit additional document. 2) mandatory Administrative processing. We have submit required document on 2nd august 2013. Then case status date changed to 5 august 2013. after that case status date changed to 23rd august . but case status still same Administrative processing. how much time it will take more. please help.

I just want to share the updates for my case in this thread:
Here is the summary:

Visa Category: B1
Purpose of visit: Attending an International Conference in the field of chemical engineering.
Educational Background: B.Tech, M.Tech in chemical engg. & currently pursuing PhD in chemical engg from IIT.
VI Date: 05-SEP-2013
Got 221g White form and VO said that all the paper work seems good but we need some time in processing my application and also informed me that i will be receiving an email from them for the list of docs that needs to be submitted. VO handedover passport back to me after the interview.
I received mail on the same day from the embassy ( i can say in couple of hours after the interview) requesting to fill out some normal questionnarie and some documents (like., resume, papers & publications, references, invitation letter, sponsor letter etc.,). Which i replied on the same day with all the requested info.
And i got acknowledgement email from them stating that they received my mail.
And my waiting has started ...
Will keep you posted with the updates..
