Just an FYI.......My colleague's father had coincidentally applied for a visit visa on the same day as me (aug 24th 2012) and his case was also put under admin processing. I just heard from him that his visa was issued on Sept4th 2013. So for folks out there who have been waiting for approx a year or if you know people who have been waiting....hang in there!!! If it takes this long, it will be issued, just a matter of time.

Individual circumstances will change in a year. Person who was not actually a potential immigrant when applied may become one now. This process is brutal and must become transparent.
Their is no specific pattern apparent except randomness. On chennai consulate report, we can find all cases of some particular interview date are cleared. The cases left behind remains untouched or ignored.
Only patiently waiting helps and plan alternatively

NIV Application statistics of one typical day
Originally posted by mask728 View PostEnd of yet another week, No updates with dates or status that I know of. A very quiet week at all consulates. Pls correct me if I am wrong......
I did put up an effort to know where we stand in this long delayed AP procedures...
The day (22/05/2013) i appeared for the interview. The following happened for Non-immigrant visas at Dubai Consulate:
Total NIV application in Dubai - 249 (100%)
Approved same day - 128 issued (51.4%)
AP - 106 (42.5%)
Refused - 15 (6%)
As of today, updated figures are:
Issued - 186 (73.8%)
AP - 47 (19.7%) 3 cases are being processed for second time in AP, 1 case for third time and another case for fourth time.
Refused - 16 (6.4%) Infact, 1 case got rejected after 89 days of processing on 19th August.
Of the 59 AP cases cleared so far...8 cleared in May, 23 in June, 23 in July, 3 in August, 2 in September so far. Any guesses for October...
From the above it is very much apparent that the process is sham, heartlesss and very inconsiderate, specially for H1 individuals
After calculating that 47 Cases are still in AP, i realized that many people are waiting for the result and the consulate cannot ignore INDEFINITELY...Some day they have to respond
The above is for information only as per CEAC website. It may not be accurate.

For my own clarification can you explain what you mean about "1 case for third time" , "another case for fourth time"??? How do you know about this? and what does it mean if cases are being processed for more than once?
I am ready to share my excel sheet if you can provide the email ID, that gives you an idea how to get statistics of any date.
My email ID is the same ID of this forum on gmail.

221g white slip at Kolkata
Attended my visa stamping interview on 30th July 2013 at Kolkata consulate. Was given the white 221g slip. Till date the CEAC website always showed case creation date as 30th July, last updated date 30th July. There was no update till now. On 13 Sept on the CEAC website, the status date changed but status showed Admin Processing. There is a pdf file for case status report which the Kolkata consulate updates now and then. When it was updated on 30th Aug it had my case number and the status was pending. When the consulate updated it on 13th sept , my case number was removed. Can anyone tell me what it means? On my interview date the passport was kept with the consulate. I am working in US for 3 and half years and had gone to India to visit family. Please replyLast edited by vtaraf; 09-14-2013, 11:04 PM.
