I think they are processing visa for one embassy at a time. First was Hyderabad then lot moved to Chennai and then to Delhi... Is that right ?

Dear tahersub4t,

This is not true IMHO. I have seen cases issued on the same day across consulates. Having said that, there are certain lean period which the consulates go thro' where the processing slows down. Currently Hyderabad is in that phase. Today Chennai issued 6 Visa from 221(g) list, 3 from 2012 and 2 from April '13 but the normal processing (5 week lead time ones) is a little slow since last week.

Is there something like periodic update by embassy on status date change. As i see lot of cases of April are updated as 28th July but none of them is visa issued. Is it periodical OR should i hope to hear some good news soon,..

Status not chnaged from March 21st

I am waiting from March21st 2013.But there are no change in last updated date. I have a doubt like 60 or 90 days means are they normal days or working days.

Hyderabad 221g white form

hello everyone,

I have attended the interview on May 26th at he Hyderabad office, where they gave me a 221g.

I submitted to 221g on June 2nd

First Status update: June 11th (administrative process)
Second Status update: June 24th (administrative process)
Third Status update: June 31st (administrative process)

According to my attorney, we have provided every necessary document and explanation, and it shouldn't be taking this long. Is there any way to approximate how long it may take to get my statues changed to "issued"?

Work with on of the big IT companies
Interview date 30 april
White slip @ New Delhi
No documents asked

Case updated on 25th july for first time
The status changed again on July 29th at 10 am and then to issued at noon

Yes i did write to my senator's office but since there was no response from them, i am assuming that the office didn't do any further action

My employer tried to call DOS but it was fruitless as they got a standard reply .. It is just a wait and watch game , hopefully you should get yours issued soon , Good luck .. Its just a personal observation that once you complete 90 days lots of cases get issued so just hang in there you will get it issued soon

I remember you mentioned this is your third time 221(g) and you also mentioned it took around 3 months to get clearence.

Can you tell me if it is more than 90 days or you meant less than 90 days ?

H4 is directly dependent on H1 Visa, if you are working for a good company, she will not have any issue. Usually H4 are not very problematic (I have seen rejection for H4 too). You will eventually get it. Please tell us about your case, are you Full Time, EVR Model. I hope set gets her visa soon.

well We got a call from consulate on friday a week later . It was an Indian national asking for more pic of marriage . Unfortunately when I talked to my wife after the interview she told me that she took only 12 picture . Well we have more than 250 pic so we will be submitting our wedding album , call logs and e mails and all other stuff this time . I was surprised that embassy responded so quick in week . Have been reading about people waiting for 3 to 5 months. I think it is case by case bases . Any how I will submit these doc and see what happens . does any one else has the same scenario . We do got married but ours one was very non traditional marriage with no fire ceremony or any thing like that . So will see if vo is convinced or not .

Expert Advise Needed for Fresh H1B @New Delhi

Hello Everyone,

Here is quick recap of my case:-

I have attended VI at Delhi on 06 Feb 2013 & got white slip for fresh h1B.My case is not updated for a single time till today. My VI was not so superb but it was so so.

Now, I noted a mistake in my DS-160 form. I have replaced last 2 digits of client address pin code (Like, 123 got replaced 132).Am I paying for this mistake since last 6 months. Can some expert person advise please?

It is highly unlikely that such a minor thing can result in the delay.

We all are undergoing some security checks.. Finger print checks and thats it.. Its normal to wait for 6 months these days...

Go for the interview and face it the way you did it for the first time.. Can you please post a complete recap of your case so that we can suggest more appropriate things..
