F1 discontinued and on H1B visa now,stamping needed plzzzzzzzz help

Hi All,
i have discontinued my Masters and i'm on h1 and working.i am planning to attend for visa stamping in one of the neighbouring countries(canada or mexico).
I request you all to post your experinces if you or any of your friends had the similar problem .

I am planning to attend embassy in canada in august second week .i sincerly request you to give ur valuable suggestions and precautions for attending for visa.

Iam also in a similar situation like u..except that I have not yet come to stamping stage..
Iam also a student who had applied for H1 without completing my Masters. I got H1 approval on June 23rd but my H1 starts only on Oct1st.

I did not register for Summer also as it was not a mandatory semester.

Now what I need to know is...
1) Do I have to register for courses in Fall to remain in status?
2) Some of my friends told me that I need not or rather I cannot register
because my Status wud have changed from F1 to H1 in the INS.
3) If it has been changed, then does it mean that by the time my H1 actually
starts in October, I would have been out of status? bcos my H1 got
approved on June 23rd itself.
4) I want to know what is my current status.Where can I find out about this?
5) Am I already on bench now? Do the Pay Stubs have to be run now? Is
that possible cause my H1 starts only from Oct 1st?
6) Will this gap be questioned when I go for stamping?

Please let me know..
I really dont know what to do

I am not too sure how the stamping experience at the border is for people who have some problems like the ones you all have. It will be great if you guys can update this forum after the stamping experience. All the Best.

This is for Catchreks:
H1 doesnt start until the validity date on I797 approval in your case it will be 10/1/05, your employer can run paychecks only from 10/01/05 as you are not supposed to work before october. you will be on F1 untill 10/01/05 so you will have to register for classes in the fall semester and be in good status till then.
Please seek legal advice for accurate info.
