What happens to H4 during H1B transfer?

Hello all, I work for Company A now and Company B is going to file H1B visa transfer for me. My wife has a H4 visa on her passport with Company A's name. So what happens to her H4 visa when Company B files H1B transfer for me?

Nothing, her H4 remains valid and she can continue to stay till her H4 I-94 is valid. If you want to get a matching I-94 with your I-94 you can apply for extension after getting your H1 transfer approved.

To add to the above, your wife can use the same Visa to travel to US until it expires. But she will need the latest H1 approval notice.
Same goes for you, you can use the same H1 Visa (if any) in your passport to travel to US.
