Receipt number of NEFT transfer

Friends,

I can transfer to unique account number given by CGI site using my indian bank account But,
Can you help me understand how do I get receipt number for NEFT transfer of visa fees?
Is this the same receipt that our bank ( say ICICI, Axis, SBI) provides for any other intra bank transfer?
Or
will US visa website will send receipt number via email?
Please advise.

After you transfer the amount online through NEFT, Your online account with "cgifederal.secure.force.com" will automatically have your receipt number and you will allowed to book an appointment. You will also receive an email confirming your receipt number. This process may take anywhere between 3 hours to 3 days from the time your NEFT was successful. I hope this answers your question

Hi Friend, thanks and I appreciate your quick response. However, I have one small query..can I pay for two parties H1 and H4 dependent (say me and spouse) together ?
We have two different DS-160 forms filled one of it as dependent. Will CGI send two different receipt numbers even I pay as gross amount?
Or do I need to make two payments?
The CGI site is asking me for two different receipt numbers.
Any help will be helpful.

Receipt number of NEFT transfer

By Default Receipt Number is the Last 12 Digits of your Unique Beneficiary Account Number. Example if your account number is TIER1731216824083 then your receipt number will be 731216824083.

Use the last few digits

Use the last digits excluding "TIER1". For instance if your Unique Benef no was TIER19999988888 then your reference no is 9999988888.

its always better to have separate payments for each candidate going to stamping. During interview scheduling dsc-160 and unique receipt number linked to that ds-160 is required. I had stamping in december 2014 and got the receipt number activated within 24 hours of neft transfer, i submitted it at 9am india time.
