Switch Employer in PERM Audit?

Hi All,

Happy new year.

I’m on H1B visa. I was picked in 2007 lottery system and got stamped in Jan 2008 and entered in USA on May 2008. My current employer filed PERM and unfortunately my case got into audit at DOL stage. AS per my employer it may take 6 months to 2 year for respond.
Here is my question:
1)How much time do I have to complete 6 yrs?
2)Can I switch my employer now? If yes, is it safe to do so by keeping leftout time in mind for end of 6 yrs? what happens to PERM and Audit? Will it follows me to new application from new employer?

Please help me it’s all confusing.
