Hi,
I have read on internet that if I get H1B sponsored through a non profit organisation (Company A), then I won't be subject to the H1B quota. However, if I leave that job later and join another Company B (which is not exempted from quota), then I will be subject to the quota.
So, for e.g if I join this non profit Company A in October 2005 and get an H1B from them. Then, If I want to change my job to Company B in January 2006, when would my H1B get approved? Would I have to wait till October 2006 or can I start working for Company B? Would the H1B transfer take its normal time (few weeks) or would it happen in October 2006 (due to quota consideration)
Any guidance regarding this would be highly significant to me.
Thanks and Regards,
Shaffaly
