L1 to H1 Conversion

Hi,
Currently I am on L1-B visa which is expiring on April 2013, though I have applied for Extension its still under processing. Also my Employer has started processing for this year H1B visa. They have stated it as L to H conversion. Is it valid in case my L1 Extension gets rejected and I travel back to India by March end?

Validity of what? Please rephrase your question so it is more understandable.
