Hello,
I was on L1B visa and working in the USA from March 2007 to March 2010.
Then I went back to my home country on 1 April 2010 and came back to the US on F1 visa stamp on 2 August 2010.
I graduated in May 2012 and this year a company has decided to file my H1B.
The company says that since I was on L1B visa working in the US and have not been out of the country for a year or more than a year between L1 and F1, I will get only 3 years of my H1B as opposed to the 6 years.
Is this correct ?
Please let me know. I'm really worried.
Thank you.
