Change of Consulate for Visa stamping

Hi,

My case is as follows :
1) New H1b for 65k FY 2006
2) Normal process
3) Appled for H1B to Vermont Center 22 July 2005
4) Receipt date : 28 July 2005
5) Vermont Center

I have mentioned France US Consulate for visa stamping when filing my H1B Petition. Since currently iam working in France. But unfortunately i will be going back to India End of August. So if my H1b is approved, then can i go to US Consulate in Chennai ??

Please let me know.. If anyone had faced similar situation please help on this issue. Thanks in advance

Hi,
There might not be a problem. You can carry a letter from the employer in the US mentioning this change. Or if you have the sufficient time, there is a procedure for correction of this entry, for which you can contact your attorney.
