H1 visa...

My friend need some help..they got here by work visa from an agency but after their contract they don't want to extend it..so he ended up working legally and his visa is expired to..How can he do his papers to be legal here in the US?..what forms?..

How long has your friend been working illegally? Is it just the friend?, or his / her spouse too?

it's been 5 yrs now..just him..what form he needs to file to make himself legal to work?

Hi Bella,

There is no form to my knowledge that will make him legal. Yes, he can marry a citizen and get a Green Card that way.

But, someone illegal for 5 years has, to my knowledge, no form to fill to make him legal.

Where is he working now? You do not have to name the organization, i just want to know the type of job he is in.

He cannot file asylum even as one has to do it within 1 year of entering USA.

I am sorry about your friend, but he could marry a US citizen and then he is good to gain legal status.
