Duration of stay in H1 after 5 years on L2

Hi,

My wife has been on L2 visa for 5 years, and haven't worked (or applied EAD) during this time.

If she applies for H1 visa this year, how many years she can work on H1? Will it be 6 years or 1 year?

In other words will L2 period will be accounted towards H1 years?

Can you please suggest.

L2 does not count towards H1 limit, only H1 or L1 does.
